Atia’s Legacy Combat Mechanics
Lunacians, YOUR axies are getting a flurry of new stats and skills in Atia’s Legacy.
Strength. Dexterity. Intelligence. Willpower.
These might become the base stats that influence your fate in battle.
Study them and tell us what you think 🧵👇
Note: This is an exploratory preview. All mechanics and details shared are work-in-progress and subject to change. We're sharing this to invite your thoughts on the direction of combat!
2/ Atia’s Legacy Substats
In the upcoming playtest, axies will have offensive, defensive and utility stats.
Offensive Stats may include regular attacks, spell damage, critical hit DMG and chance (crits are coming), and more.
Defensive stats may include HP and dodge, physical defense, shields against magic, and more.
Utility stats may include effects to amplify healing & shielding, success rates of buffs and debuffs, as well as mana restoration.
These stats will shape your axie’s ability — and their identity in your squad.
For example, brawlers will have high attack DMG and speed while tanks will specialize in defensive stats.
What other kinds of stats would you like to see?

3/ How we’re thinking about attack skills in Atia’s Legacy
Your axies will also have multiple abilities, just like in other games.
Normal attacks would be your bread and butter — simple and reliable.
Ultimate skills would be more devastating but will have a longer cooldown period.
Horn skills would give you quick utility and come in clutch.
Atia’s Legacy takes place in an open-world, which makes it possible to have both manual and auto-combat features as well.
The choice can be yours: release control and let your axies decide how they attack…
…or take the reins and deal the damage yourself!
What do you think about this system?

4/ What happens when your axie is defeated in Atia’s Legacy?
Simple answer: They become unplayable and auto-revive after a delay.
That delay might also increase if the axie keeps getting cooked.
Then, if your entire squad gets wiped, you’d get sent back to the village.
How do you think this would influence your squad formation?
Would you ever make a strategic sacrifice for the sake of your squad?
Let us know in the comments!

5/ Final Thoughts
These are just a few ways we’re thinking about combat.
We haven’t even started talking about weapons!
These features will come together to give your Atia’s Legacy gameplay infinite possibilities.
Stay tuned for more leeks next week!
