When systems govern real value, assurance demands more than simulation. @Aave and Cantina launch a $100,000 CTF challenge, giving researchers access to production infrastructure under strict, scoped conditions. Details below.
These contracts reflect core components of Aave’s infrastructure. Researchers who uncover scoped vulnerabilities and execute valid exploits within Cantina’s controlled environment retain any assets recovered.
The challenge follows significant advancements. Aave v3.1 introduced critical updates to interest logic and upgradeability. A separate expansion to Aptos added MOVE-based architecture. This event subjects those updates to adversarial analysis in live conditions.
Two prior Cantina-led security engagements set the stage. One validated Aave’s v3.1 deployment across EVM chains. Another confirmed security postures for Aptos. This CTF expands that trajectory with open contracts, structured scope, and finality in execution.
This new adversarial testing module adds a new layer of trust by testing deployed systems under observable pressure. It is a natural extension of Aave’s long-standing commitment to transparency and system resilience.
