As a general rule, if I’m in a group chat with profitable and experienced Solana gamblers, and I see a token where everyone is bullish but the market cap isn’t high enough to absorb sell pressure, then — counterintuitively — I’m pretty sure it’s time to sell.
They probably each hold more than 1% of the supply and won’t hesitate to sell a lot even at just a 2x (that’s exactly how consistently profitable traders operate).
Same thing when it comes to buying a token at the bottom — the future sell pressure will be brutal.
The real sweet spot is
-buying very early when the narrative is truly strong (example lets bonk)
-buying a token that profitable Solana traders are not interested in or are even fudding because is not taking attention or buying when they’ve completely stopped talking about it.
That’s the sweet spot for me.
It’s the harsh truth.
That’s why you’ll rarely see a token in a respectable group chat that does a 10x if everyone in the chat bought it, they’ll all sell at a 2x.
The best opportunities are in trenches groupchat with people without much experience willing to dream for x100, the ca that everyone ignore.
You either need inside info or being in a pnd group with big people where they load supply at low mcap and shill all together (examples like Manyu, gnon, floydAi) or you have to act as a lonely wolf to be profitable on Solana.
