CT cares more about hype, but here’s what caught my attention lately
@AaveChan. A team that’s quietly shaping one of DeFi’s biggest protocols Aave. They’re called the Aave-Chan Initiative (ACI). Here’s why they matter👇 Aave is a giant in DeFi, a protocol that lets people lend and borrow crypto without banks. But decisions about risk, assets, and upgrades don’t come from a CEO
They come from Aave DAO, a community that votes on everything. Most people don’t have time to vote on every proposal. That’s where these delegates are used. The Aave-Chan Initiative (ACI) is one of those, and probably the most active. They represent AAVE holders in governance. Instead of chasing clout, ACI focuses on what actually matters: making Aave safer, smarter, and more sustainable. They read the boring docs, run the numbers, and make the tough calls. ACI was founded by (@lemiscate) Marc Zeller, one of Aave’s OG contributors. He’s been around since the early days, not just another anon delegate farming attention. He launched ACI in early 2023 to make Aave governance faster, cleaner, and more transparent. Their focus: - Grow Aave across chains - Manage risk carefully - Keep treasury funds efficient - Be 100% transparent about decisions Basically, professional DAO governance. They even built programs to make the DAO run smoother: Orbit → rewards active community contributors Skyward → helps people write proposals (no coding needed) Dolce Vita → handles Aave’s behind-the-scenes ops ACI = not just voters. They’re doers. Every month they drop public reports: what they voted on, why, and the impact. It’s open-source accountability, something that’s still rare in DeFi. They’ve been behind dozens of Aave improvements: adding new collaterals, upgrading versions, optimizing rewards
basically, helping the protocol stay relevant and resilient. If you hold $AAVE, you can delegate your vote to them. They’ll represent you in DAO decisions, kind of like a “crypto representative.” It’s governance made easier, without losing your voice. Not financial advice, just observation: ACI seems to care more about long-term health than hype cycles. While others chase memecoins, they keep Aave running like a real financial system. So yeah, CT might not hype them every day. But the truth is, projects like ACI are the quiet backbone of DeFi. Without them, DAOs would be chaos. Props to ser @lemiscate
