Mindshare is everything - something I've learned watching @kalshi and @polymarket. I've used both platforms and I'd argue that kalshi is the better product. - I hate bridging to polygon, or paying fees on moonpay for polymarket. Kalshi lets you just connect a bank account. - Polymarket has had some controversial market resolutions with Uma voting But Polymarket has more mindshare: - Hilarious IG reels on sports - Viral tweets of bizarre markets - Even friends who don't do crypto or betting share their content with me As a result, Polymarket gets more liquidity, is seen as the "source of truth", and is actively talked about to the point where even people outside of crypto/betting become aware of it. These all become crucial features for a futures market product and can end up moving the needle for users. I personally end up using Polymarket because everyone's on there, which means deeper orderbook liquidity.
