INTRODUCING AP-69: A TWO WAY SWAP BETWEEN FUNGIBLE AND NON-FUNGIBLE TOKENS 🎍 We just deployed a first-of-its-kind smart contract on Bitcoin that allows you to swap your @AlkanePandas for $BAMBOO seamlessly, only possible via #Alkanes When we decided to launch Alkane Pandas, the goal was to push the limits of what's possible on native Bitcoin. This goal did not end at creating the first smart contract NFT on Bitcoin - it was the start. By seamlessly swapping your panda for $BAMBOO, this enables fungibility which will likely prove useful in the future as we head towards the first native Bitcoin AMM, powered by @oylwallet. This smart contract is similar to “ERC-404” contracts on Ethereum. The AP-69 contract is open-source and can be found at the following link: HOW DO I SWAP MY PANDA FOR $BAMBOO? To swap your panda for $BAMBOO, you simply need to submit a transaction including your panda using using contract 4:0 and opcode 42 (panda_to_bamboo) Make sure to include the panda of your choice using “Include Alkanes Inputs”. Upon swapping and successful confirmation, you will receive 100,000 $BAMBOO under Alkanes ID 4:0. WAIT… ID 4:0? NOT 2:XXXXX? Yes! Alkanes allows choosing custom contract numbers, and this is the first such contract that showcases this unique ability. Please note: this style of smart contract is so new that marketplaces do not index it yet! @ordiscan_com doesn’t index it yet either, but $BAMBOO shows up properly as an output when you search your transaction on their explorer. Here is an example: However, $BAMBOO can and will be freely traded just the same as a traditional Alkanes token on @idclub_ord or @unisat_wallet once these marketplaces update their index to include contract block 4. Hopefully this is sooner than later. You’re early! To swap $BAMBOO back to a panda, you just need to submit a transaction including 100,000 $BAMBOO to the same contract (4:0) using opcode 69 (bamboo_to_panda). Upon swapping and successful confirmation, you will receive a Panda back. Make sure to include 100,000 $BAMBOO using “Include Alkanes Inputs”. WILL THE PANDA I RECEIVE BACK BE DIFFERENT? AP-69 works on a last in, first out basis. So, if you swap back and forth immediately, you will most likely receive your same panda back. However, if others swap a panda to $BAMBOO after your swap transaction, you will receive a different panda. In effect, this represents a “reroll” of your swapped panda. WHAT IS THE POINT OF $BAMBOO? AP-69 was created to demonstrate the greater capabilities of Alkanes smart contracts, bridging the gap between fungibility and non-fungibility in a fun, risk-free way. You can swap back and forth as much as you want with no fees (besides standard Bitcoin transaction fees). You can potentially take advantage of arbitrage between Pandas and $BAMBOO. You can try your hand at re-rolling your “floor” Pandas. You can ultimately use Oyl’s AMM to swap $BAMBOO for other tokens once liquidity pools are created. And more to come! Ultimately, we aim to show the world that way more is possible on native Bitcoin than anyone imagined through @AlkanePandas.
