I don't know what sums you're dealing with ser @0xAero8 - for me whenever I wanted to go from Fraxtal to Mainnet I've used either @StargateFinance or @eywaprotocol .
Indeed - other options didn't work or were only with specific tokens.
Also - the native bridge and interface had all kinds of stuff not working, so haven't used it.
A lot to improve on that front tbh, and you bring up valid and good points. Hope the guys at Frax which I really do appreciate will improve it soon.
I've been an active DeFi user for years, and figuring out how to maneuver in @fraxfinance / Fraxtal has been the most trying situation I've been in since I first figured out how to bridge from one chain to another back in 2021.
FXS (now FRAX) is listed as FXS on Mainnet when using Frax's built in Swap / Bridge app, but listed as FRAX on Fraxtal. That's confusing.
There's no way to bridge FXS / FRAX from Fraxtal to some other L2s where there are FXS LPs with boosted Frax emissions (Linea as an example). What's the point of wasting money on LPs that are essentially gated? I'm not willing to lose >10% slippage to swap to FXS/FRAX on the L2 so figured bridging from Fraxtal / Mainnet was the way to go. Nope.
Lost 0.9 ETH on Frax's Bridge when trying to bridge from Linea to Fraxtal. It's stuck somewhere in there, I guess?
Had to grant approvals multiple times on Frax's swap app for the same coin, and the UI refresh was quite laggy compared to literally all other DEXs I use for swaps.
My point is - as always, the ideas are great in theory, but it seems like the 'day to day' aspect of users' experience on chain has been greatly overlooked.
..I would like my 0.9 ETH back, please.😡
Rant Over.
