Pay is a smart wallet that enables password-free and facial-recognition payments. It allows you to seamlessly send and receive USDC and USDT across X Layer, Tron, and major Ethereum-compatible networks. Sending via X Layer incurs no additional fee. To enhance security, Pay incorporates advanced technologies such as passkeys, multi-signature authorization, and ZK Email recovery—ensuring you retain full control over your funds.

Additionally, Pay accounts support fund transfers between exchange accounts and can send and receive digital assets directly to and from on-chain wallet addresses.

Pay also offers social features, including direct transfers within chats and the ability to create group red envelopes. While transferring digital assets to external wallet addresses is supported, please note that corresponding gas fees will apply.

Why do I need to create a passkey to activate my Pay account?

  • Pay accounts are based on smart contract wallet architecture.

  • Creating a Pay account automatically generates a unique passkey.

  • All transactions in Pay mode require user authorization via this passkey.

What's the difference between Pay Passkey and Exchange Passkey?

  • These are two distinct and independent passkey systems.

  • If you’ve previously set up a passkey for exchange account login or transaction verification, you’ll still need to create a separate passkey for Pay.

  • The Pay passkey is solely used for signing transactions within the Pay environment.

Third-party passkey management apps sometimes lack the advanced risk reminder and safeguards needed for secure passkey operations. This can lead to issues such as accidental deletion or passkeys being overwritten—making recovery difficult or even impossible.

These risks are especially relevant for users on Apple devices, where compatibility and system integration are critical. To ensure the best security and reliability, we strongly recommend using the native passkey management tool—Passwords—to create, store, and manage your passkeys.
